Taj Bara's Story

Taj Bara, 34 years old, is suffering from a painful umbilical hernia. For relief from her immense pain, she requires an immediate umbilical hernioplasty surgery. She encountered this problem after her last childbirth and it has only become more aggravated since then. She was recommended surgery several months ago but was not able to proceed with it due to a shortage of resources. Taj Bara has just been enduring her pain in silence:

“I have too many responsibilities and I cannot make my own health a priority. My husband works as a daily wager and the income he brings in is not enough for our large family of 7 members. I am hoping for someone to come to my aid and help ease this enormous and painful burden on me.”

Taj Bara and her family live in a small house in Nowshera, KPK. Only her husband earns money and a household of 7 people depends on his income. In her search for help with her surgery, Taj found out about Transparent Hands and applied for registration. Her case has been approved and is now open for donations.

Taj Bara's Story

Taj Bara, 34 years old, noticed swelling on her abdomen and consulted a local doctor. She was diagnosed with umbilical hernia after evaluation and was advised an umbilical hernioplasty with mesh. Taj was admitted in Ahmed Medical Complex and the surgery was performed by Dr. Asif Iqbal on 23.10.2020. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Taj Bara is slowly getting back on her feet.
