Donate to Tasneem Khan for her Rt. Total Knee Replacement
Tasneem Khan's Story
“Sometimes she screams in pain when she tries to stand on her feet. But the helplessness; it just kills us inside. I can’t hold back my tears when my mother asks me; “will I ever be able to walk again?” She is giving up all hopes and her mental condition is not stable; making her depressed all the time. We’ve no means to fund her treatment. You’re our only hope. Please help my mother.” – Tasneem’s daughter
68 years old Tasneem Khan is a mother of 4 children. Her 2 sons are married and residing in other city while her younger daughter stays home and the elder one works in a call center.
Around 5 years ago, Tasneem was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee – it affected her joints, the cartilage, and the synovium in the knee joint. This disease has damaged her bones causing pain and stiffness. She took treatment from a local hospital but couldn’t get relief. Her symptoms have worsened over time and the doctor has advised her to undergo total knee replacement as this is the only way she could stand on her feet again.
Tasneem’s family is already struggling to survive. It is nearly impossible for them to pay for her treatment. Her husband and daughter earn only 30,000 PKR collectively per month. Even if they start to save, it will take them years to arrange the full amount required for Tasneem’s surgical treatment.
Tasneem’s poor family is asking for your support to fund her surgery. Will you help her?
A little donation can help Tasneem get back on her feet again. Donate for her surgery now!
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
Tasneem Khan's Story
Tasneem Khan, 68 years old, was suffering from bilateral osteoarthritis (OA) of hip joints. It resulted in a progressive inability to bear weight. She was advised total hip replacement (THR) on both sides, one after the other. Her right hip replacement (THR) was done in PSRD, on 10-12-19, by Dr Javaid Iqbal. She remained fine during her post op recovery. Tasneem was discharged with follow up advice for the next surgery.
