Donate to Usman for His Hernia Repair Surgery
Usman Akhtar 's Story
Usman Akhtar, aged 2 years, had an unusual lump on the left side of his inguinal region. His parents first noticed it when Usman turned one year old. His mother initially thought that it would disappear on its own. However, when the swelling remained, she decided to take Usman to a doctor. After a thorough examination, he was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia on his left side. The doctor advised a herniotomy surgery for its repair.
Usman’s parents got worried when they heard about his diagnosis. His father is a labourer and earns a meager salary of PKR 15,000/- per month. In this small amount, he feeds and clothes five other members of his family. The cost of a surgery like this one was definitely out of their budget. Usman’s father expressed his anxiety in the following words:
“The doctor says that my son requires surgery for his hernia. I wish I had the means to provide the best possible treatment for my son. However, unfortunately, that is not the case. The truth is even if I save up for an entire year, I still would not be able to pay for my son’s surgery.”
Since they were not facilitated at any of the local hospitals, a nurse told Usman’s family about Transparent Hands. They visited our office and discussed the entire matter. We have registered Usman’s case with us. However, we cannot proceed without your support. Your donations are the only way that would enable us in conducting Usman’s surgery. Therefore, please make a generous donation for his herniotomy.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
