Youmna Faaz's Story

10-year-old, Youmna is a patient of chronic tonsils from four years. Initially, she got treatment from multiple local hospitals, but the problem persisted. She then visited countless government hospitals, but still did not get any relief.

She is having difficulty in swallowing and breathing, fever, headache and severe pain in her throat at such a young age. This is greatly affecting her appetite and she is becoming weaker, by each passing day. Mid-September she was rushed to the hospital because her fever had reached 105 degrees Fahrenheit. They doctor gave her a surgery date which is quite far away.

Her tonsillitis can only be treated through surgery, according to doctors but Youmna cannot wait for long. Luckily, someone told her family about Transparent Hands and referred them to Akram Medical Complex.

The monthly income of the family is about 15,000 PKR and relies on daily wages. They live in a rented house and it is not possible for them to afford the surgery that Youmna needs.

Youmna Faaz's Story

Youmna, 10 years old, could not breathe properly during her sleep. She also had fever and sore throat repeatedly. Her parents decided to take her to the doctor to find out what was exactly wrong with her. After her evaluation, she was diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis and was advised a tonsillectomy surgery by her ENT specialist. For this reason, she was admitted in Ahmed Medical Complex and the surgery was performed by Dr. Sayed Muddasir Shah on 28.10.2020. Youmna stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. She is well on her way to a complete recovery.
