Zahida Bibi's Story

38 years old Zahida Bibi has been suffering from Uterine Fibroids for over 6 years. Uterine Fibroids are abnormal growths that develop in the uterus and cause severe abdominal pain and abnormally heavy menstrual flow. The symptoms were mild at first but gradually they have driven Zahida Bibi to a point where she cannot continue her daily activities. All the medicines and home remedies have failed in providing her a permanent relief.

Now, seeing her condition, the doctor has advised a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy in which her uterus and cervix will be removed surgically.

Zahida Bibi’s husband passed away 3 years ago leaving a grief stricken daughter behind him. Since then Zahida Bibi has been living with her brother and his family in a 3 marla house. She earns a measly amount of PKR 5000 per month which is barely enough to cover her daughter’s fee at school. She is in no position to afford the cost of her surgery.

Zahida Bibi's Story

Zahida bibi, 38 year old, suffered from lower abdominal pain. After complete checkup with the doctor, she was diagnosed with multiple fibroids in her uterus and was advised a total abdominal hysterectomy. For this reason, she was admitted in Lahore Care Hospital and her surgery was performed by Prof Dr. Rakhshana on 27.11.2020. She stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in a stable condition. Zahida Bibi is slowly recovering from her surgery and has started feeling better now.
