Donate to Zubaida Ashraf for Her Hysterectomy
Zubaida Ashraf's Story
Zubaida Ashraf, age 44, has been suffering from uterine fibroids for the last 5 years. She has non-cancerous lumps in her uterus and is experiencing symptoms like pelvic pressure, severe pain in her waist and legs, and frequent urination. She is also experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding that has led to weakness and anemia.
“I had constant bleeding but I did not know what was wrong with me because I wasn’t aware of this disease. It was only after talking to a friend that I realized that I need to seek urgent treatment. I can’t afford the operation so I have been relying on medicines instead. But they don’t work and each day, I feel more and more weak.” – Zubaida
Zubaida’s condition is slowly deteriorating and will only get better through a total abdominal hysterectomy. She has visited her local clinic thrice now in hopes of an appointment for the surgery but each time, she has just been given medicines and sent back home.
Zubaida is unable to afford the cost of surgery at a private hospital because she and her family are not financially well off. She herself does not work whereas her husband, who previously earned around 12,000 PKR a month as a laborer, recently suffered from an electric shock. This accident has left him paralyzed on his left side and he is no longer able to go to work.
Without an earning hand, Zubaida and her family of 5 don’t even have money for basic necessities right now. Your donations are her only hope for the surgery.
Please lend her a hand in this tough time.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
