Ghulam Muhammad Ali's Story

Ghulam Muhammad Ali, a 5-year-old boy from Karachi, has been experiencing recurrent episodes of sore throat for the past three years. Activities like speaking, swallowing, and breathing have become challenging for him. His childhood is overshadowed by complications caused by his illness, and he can’t play and study like other children. Worried about his condition, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Ali with Chronic Tonsillitis – a long-term inflammation of the tonsils. His doctor strongly recommended tonsillectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils. However, his family can’t afford his treatment.

If left untreated, his condition may lead to serious complications such as:

Peritonsillar abscess

Severe tonsillar enlargemen

Spread of infection to other organs

Ali lives in a small rented house with his parents and five siblings. He is a student, while his father works hard as a rickshaw driver, earning around PKR 35,000 per month. With utility bills of PKR 5,000 and school-related expenses of PKR 20,000, the family is already struggling to make ends meet. There’s no way they can afford the surgical costs on their own.

Ali’s parents have now turned to Transparent Hands in the hope of finding support. His father shared his heartfelt words with us as follows:

“I just want my son to live a healthy life and enjoy his childhood. Watching him suffer every day breaks our hearts. We request you to help us with his surgery so we can see him happy and pain-free.”

Let’s not allow Ali’s childhood to slip away in pain. Your donations can bring him much-needed relief. Give your Sadaqah and help this little boy smile once again.
