Muhammad Azam, a 47-year-old man from Narowal, has been experiencing persistent joint pain and swelling in his shoulders for a long time. What initially appeared as harmless lumps in both supraclavicular regions have gradually increased in size and become increasingly painful. Concerned for his worsening condition, Azam recently consulted a doctor. After a detailed examination and tests, he was diagnosed with bilateral Supraclavicular Lipomas. These are benign tumors made up of fat tissue, occurring in the supraclavicular region. The doctor has recommended Bilateral Excision Surgery to remove the lipomas and relieve his discomfort. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond his financial capacity.

Over time, these lipomas have severely affected Azam’s mobility. He now experiences constant pain in his shoulders and has difficulty performing even basic tasks.  If left untreated, the lipomas may continue to grow, leading to the progression of pain and discomfort, further restriction of shoulder movement, increased risk of nerve compression, and other complications. 

Due to the severity of his condition, Azam has been unable to continue working, leaving his family financially vulnerable. He now lives in a rented house with a monthly rent of PKR 6,000. His household expenses, including utility bills of PKR 1,500 and educational expenses of PKR 1,500, are managed through the generous support of his previous employer, who provides a monthly allowance of PKR 15,000. Despite this help, Azam and his family are struggling to meet their daily needs. The cost of the required surgery is far beyond what they can afford.
