Rani Anees's Story

Rani Anees, a 38-year-old woman from Karachi, has been suffering from constant pain in her upper right abdomen for the past two months. Along with the pain, she often experiences nausea and struggles with intolerance to fatty meals, which has made her life extremely difficult. She is unable to enjoy meals or take care of her children as she once did. Rani went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. Following an ultrasound scan and lab tests, the doctor diagnosed Rani with Cholelithiasis – a condition where hard mineral deposits form in the gallbladder. The recommended treatment for this condition is laparoscopic cholecystectomy, a surgery that will relieve her pain and prevent future complications. However, the cost of this surgery is far beyond Rani’s financial capacity.

Rani is a devoted housewife and she manages her household chores but the pain has made it increasingly harder for her to care for her family. If Rani doesn’t receive the surgery soon, her condition will only worsen. The ongoing pain and digestive issues may continue to deteriorate her health and prevent her from maintaining a healthy diet.

Rania lives in a modest rented house with her husband and three children. Her husband works as a laborer and brings home a modest monthly income of PKR 25,000. With the family’s rent set at PKR 10,000 and utility bills of PKR 2500, their income barely covers their daily needs. They also struggle with educational costs of PKR 2500 for their two children who are currently attending school. Given their limited financial resources, paying for Rani’s surgery is impossible for them. During this challenging time, Rani has turned to Transparent Hands for help. She shared her worries by saying:

“I am in constant pain and unable to care for my children as I used to. My life is becoming unbearable. I desperately need this surgery to regain my health. Please support me during this challenging time.”

Rani Anees's Story

Rani Anees, a 38-year-old woman from Karachi, had been experiencing pain in the upper right side of her abdomen for the past two months. Alongside this discomfort, she frequently suffered from nausea and found it nearly impossible to tolerate fatty foods, making everyday life a struggle. Rani visited a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough medical evaluation, including ultrasound imaging and lab investigations, she was diagnosed with Cholelithiasis. The doctor explained that to eliminate her pain and prevent further complications, she needed a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. However, the surgical cost was overwhelming for her family.

Rani lived in a small rented home with her husband and three children. Her husband works as a laborer and earns just PKR 25,000 a month. The family’s income barely stretches to cover basic living expenses, including utility bills and food expenses. Faced with financial hardships and increasing health worries, Rani began to lose hope. That’s when she heard about Transparent Hands. Reaching out to us, Rani shared her situation, and we swiftly registered her case.

On February 6, 2025, Rani was admitted to Murshid Hospital, Karachi. Her laparoscopic cholecystectomy was skillfully performed by Dr. Mariam. After receiving the necessary post-operative care and medications, Rani was discharged in good condition on February 7, 2025.

With a smile of relief, Rani said:

“I am so grateful for this support. I never thought I’d find relief from this constant pain. Thanks to everyone who helped me during this time of need. I can now care for my family again and live without fear.”

Rani’s life has changed remarkably since her surgery. She has regained her energy and can now fully participate in family life and take care of her children.

This change in her life was made possible through your generous support. Her family is extremely thankful to you for making a significant difference in Rani’s life.
