Empower Asma to Welcome Her Baby Safely

Asma Saeed's Story
Asma Saeed, a 26-year-old woman from Karachi, is eagerly awaiting the birth of her third child. She is over 31 weeks pregnant, and while this should be a time of excitement and happiness, worry overshadows her joy. Asma visited her gynecologist for a routine medical checkup, who advised an elective C-section due to her previous history of two C-sections. Without this necessary procedure, both Asma and her baby’s health will be at serious risk. However, financial constraints have placed this crucial surgery out of her reach.
A delayed or complicated delivery may put Asma and her unborn child in danger, leading to potentially life-threatening complications.
The stress of not knowing how they will afford the procedure is affecting her emotional well-being. Every mother dreams of holding a healthy baby in her arms, but for Asma, that dream feels uncertain.
Asma lives in a small rented house with her husband and two young children. Her husband, a daily wage laborer, earns just PKR 35,000 per month, struggling to provide for the family’s basic needs. Their monthly house rent of PKR 15,000 takes up a significant portion of their income. With increasing expenses and financial limitations, saving for her medical treatment is simply impossible. Despite his hard work and determination, Asma’s husband is unable to afford the surgery. During this time of need, Asma reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
In her heartfelt plea, Asma shared:
“This pregnancy has been both a blessing and a challenge. My only wish is to bring my baby into this world safely, without the fear of complications. But we have no way of affording the surgery. Please help me give my child a safe start in life.”
With your generosity, Asma can undergo the necessary C-section and welcome her baby into the world without fear or uncertainty. Let’s join hands to support this young mother during her time of need.

Asma Saeed's Story
Asma Saeed, a 26-year-old resident of Karachi, faced a critical situation as she approached the final weeks of her pregnancy. She was pregnant with her third child, and this phase should have been filled with happiness and excitement. However, her heart was filled with constant worry. During a routine checkup, her gynecologist strongly recommended an elective C-section due to her previous history of two C-sections. Without this crucial surgery, both Asma’s and her baby’s lives were at serious risk.
Asma’s financial situation made it impossible for her to arrange the surgery on her own. She lived in a modest rented home with her husband and two young children. Her husband, a daily wage worker, earned only PKR 35,000 per month. A large portion of his income, around PKR 15,000 went towards rent, leaving very little for other essential expenses like food, utilities, and the children’s needs. With no savings and growing financial pressure, the couple found themselves in a desperate situation. At this critical time, Asma reached out to Transparent Hands for assistance. Transparent Hands registered her case without delay.
Asma was admitted to Altamash Hospital, Karachi, on March 10, 2025. On the same day, Dr. Fozia successfully performed the elective lower segment C-section, ensuring a safe delivery. Asma gave birth to a healthy baby girl. After receiving proper postoperative care, both mother and child were discharged in good health on March 12, 2025.
With immense gratitude, Asma said:
“Our hearts are full of thanks for the support we received. Without your help, we don’t know what would have happened. You not only saved my life but also gave our baby girl a safe start in life. Thank you for standing with us in our time of need.”
Your support brought joy to Asma and her family.
They are forever grateful to you for making this happy new beginning possible.
