Empower Husna with Cholecystectomy

Husna Anwar's Story
Husna Anwar, a 57-year-old woman from Hyderabad, has been suffering from upper right abdominal pain for the past five years. She faces persistent nausea and severe indigestion, and her discomfort has only worsened over time. Simple daily tasks have become a challenge, and even eating a meal leaves her in distress. Recently, Husna visited a doctor at a local hospital. After running some medical tests, the doctor diagnosed her with cholelithiasis—gallstones in her gallbladder that are causing her intense pain. The doctor has advised her to undergo laparoscopic cholecystectomy, but her family can’t pay for her surgery.
If left untreated, Husna’s condition will continue to worsen over time. She may develop severe complications like gallbladder infection, bile duct obstruction, or even organ damage.
Husna and her husband live in a small house with their only son. Her husband is unemployed, and the family’s survival depends entirely on her son. He works as a security guard in a private firm, earning a modest PKR 37,000 per month. He is married and has three school-going children, each with a monthly school fee of PKR 3000. In addition to supporting his own family, he is also responsible for his elderly parents. With rising living expenses and utility bills of PKR 4500 per month, the cost of his mother’s surgery is beyond his means. Despite his best efforts, he is unable to gather the amount needed for Husna’s treatment. During this difficult time, Husna has contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Husna shared her plea as follows:
“I have been suffering for years, but I kept going because I didn’t want to be a burden on my son. Now, the pain has become unbearable, and I can’t even eat properly. I just want to recover and be able to live a normal life again. Please, help me get this surgery.”
Husna’s health is at risk, and she desperately needs this treatment. Your support can ease her suffering and make it possible for her to live without pain. No contribution is too small—your kindness can bring comfort and relief to her life.

Husna Anwar's Story
Husna Anwar, a 57-year-old woman from Hyderabad, had been suffering from persistent pain in the upper right side of her abdomen for the past five years. Her discomfort often intensified after meals and was accompanied by nausea and occasional vomiting. These troubling symptoms left her feeling constantly weak and unable to manage her daily household responsibilities. She visited a nearby hospital, where the doctor recommended diagnostic tests, including an ultrasound scan. After a thorough evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis and advised her to undergo a laparoscopic cholecystectomy to relieve her symptoms. However, the cost of the surgery was far beyond what her family could afford.
Husna lives with her husband and extended family in a modest home. Her husband is currently unemployed due to his old age and health issues, leaving the family dependent on her son’s income. He works as a security guard with a private firm, earning only PKR 37,000 per month. Not only does he support his parents, but he also has a wife and three children in school. With so many responsibilities and a modest income, there was no way the family could bear the cost of Husna’s surgery. During this time of need, Husna’s family turned to Transparent Hands for help.
On April 8, 2025, Husna was admitted to Isra University Welfare Hospital, Hyderabad. Her surgery was successfully performed the following day by Dr. Aftab. After receiving proper post-operative care, she was discharged in a stable condition on April 10, 2025.
Husna’s son expressed his happiness as follows:
“Before surgery, my mother faced immense challenges due to her illness. With your support, my mother is finally free from the pain that she had been facing for years. May you be blessed for bringing her comfort and healing.”
Husna is now recovering, and you gave her a new start in life.
Her family extends their immense gratitude to you for changing her life.
