Empower Komal Batool with a C-section

Komal Batool's Story
Komal Batool, a 24-year-old woman from Karachi, is approaching a crucial moment in her life. She is over 32 weeks pregnant with her first child. This should be a time filled with hope and joy, however, Komal is facing immense anxiety and fear due to her medical condition. Her pregnancy has been classified as high-risk, and her gynecologist told her that the baby is suffering from Intrauterine Growth Retardation (IUGR). It means that the baby is not growing at a normal rate inside the womb. Given this condition, her doctor has strongly advised her to undergo a C-section to ensure the safe delivery of the baby. However, the cost of the C-section is beyond her family’s means.
Without surgical intervention, there are serious risks to the health and life of both the mother and the unborn child. Delaying the C-section may result in complications such as oxygen deprivation or even stillbirth.
Komal’s husband works as a housekeeper and earns a modest monthly income of just PKR 37,000. Komal is living with her husband and in-laws in a small mud house. Her husband is the sole breadwinner and is responsible for the needs of the entire household. They barely manage their living expenses, such as utility bills, as well as food expenses. With such limited income, affording the cost of a C-section is simply beyond their reach. This young couple, expecting their first child, is filled with hope but burdened by financial limitations. They have turned to Transparent Hands in search of support, praying for a safe delivery and a healthy baby.
Komal and her husband said in despair:
“Our first child is a blessing we’ve waited for with so much love. However, there is a risk to the baby’s health, but we don’t have enough for the surgery. Kindly help us bring our baby into this world safely.
Your generous contributions can give Komal the chance to welcome her baby into the world without fear or risk. Come forward and fill Komal’s home with happiness.
