Empower Shumaila to Deliver Her Baby Safely

Shumaila Akram's Story
Shumaila Akram, a 23-year-old woman from Hyderabad, is currently expecting her second child. During her follow-up visit to the gynecologist, Shumaila was diagnosed with a transverse lie of the fetus. It means that the baby is positioned sideways in the womb. Moreover, Shumaila has a history of one C-section. Therefore, her doctor has highlighted the need for a carefully planned C-section to protect the mother and child. However, the cost of the procedure is far beyond Shumaila’s means.
Not undergoing a C-section will lead to significant risks. It may include the possibility of uterine rupture, severe bleeding, or stillbirth.
Her husband works as a laborer, earning a modest monthly income of only PKR 12,000. The couple has one young daughter and lives in a joint family in a home that belongs to Shumaila’s father-in-law. Despite her husband’s efforts to provide, their limited income barely covers basic household needs, making it impossible to save for the medical expenses. With each passing day, Shumaila’s anxiety grows. She understands the importance of timely medical care, but her family’s financial struggles have left her feeling helpless. She reached out to Transparent Hands with a heartfelt plea for assistance.
With tears filling her eyes, Shumaila said:
“I lie awake at night, worrying about how I will bring this baby safely into the world. My little daughter needs her mother, and my family needs me. Without your help, we can’t afford the surgery. I humbly ask for your support so I can hold my baby safely in my arms.”
Your kind donations can help ensure that Shumaila receives the essential surgical care to deliver her baby safely. Together, we can lift this family from their worries and give them the precious gift of a safe and healthy delivery.
Come forward to bring joy to Shumaila’s home!
