Enable Arbab Ali to See Clearly

Arbab Ali's Story
Arbab Ali, a 52-year-old man from Jamshoro, Sindh, has been struggling with a gradual loss of vision in his left eye for the past year. What began as occasional blurriness has now worsened to the point where he struggles to see clearly, making even simple tasks difficult. Recently, Arbab visited a doctor. After a thorough medical evaluation, he was diagnosed with a cataract in his left eye. The doctor advised him to undergo left Phaco + IOL surgery to restore his sight. However, the cost of the surgery is out of his financial capacity.
Without this surgery, Arbab’s vision will continue to decline. He may eventually lose sight in his left eye completely. The thought of losing his ability to work and becoming a burden on his family has left Arbab deeply worried.
Arbab Ali lives in a modest rented home with his wife and four children. He earns just PKR 38,000 per month as a laborer, barely enough to meet his family’s needs. His three school-going children study in a government school, and Arbab does everything he can to provide them with a better future. However, after paying PKR 3000 for house rent and covering other household expenses, there is no money left for medical treatment. The cost of surgery is far beyond his means, and despite his hard work, he has no way to afford the life-changing procedure.
With a heavy heart, Arbab shared his plea for help as follows:
“I have worked hard my whole life to provide for my family, but now, my vision is failing me. I fear that if I lose my sight, I will also lose my ability to work and support my children. I need your help to regain my vision and have a happy and healthy life.”

Arbab Ali's Story
Arbab Ali, a 52-year-old man from Jamshoro, Sindh, had spent the past year struggling with vision issues. What started as mild dimness in his left eye soon progressed into severe vision loss, making everyday tasks incredibly difficult. Simple chores became challenges, and Arbab found himself increasingly dependent on his family. Concerned for his worsening condition, Arbab visited a local hospital where he was diagnosed with a cataract in his left eye. The doctor recommended a left Phacoemulsification with Intraocular Lens (Phaco + IOL) surgery to restore his sight.
Arbab lives in a modest rented house with his wife and four children. As a daily wage laborer, he earns just PKR 38,000 per month, which is barely enough to cover rent, food, and basic household expenses. His three children attend a government school. Despite his limited means, Arbab works hard to ensure they get an education. He couldn’t afford to pay for the surgery. During this time of need, Arbab turned to Transparent Hands for help. With your generous donations, we were able to arrange his cataract surgery.
On April 8, 2025, Arbab’s left Phaco + IOL surgery was performed at Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. Dr. Yaruq Sami expertly performed the procedure and restored Arbab’s vision.
After the surgery, Arbab expressed his happiness as follows;
“I never thought I’d be able to see clearly again. I can work again, take care of my family, and watch my children grow. I am truly grateful to you for helping me when I had nowhere else to turn. Thanks for being there for me.”
Arbab’s life has taken a remarkable turn after the surgery. His family extends their heartfelt gratitude to you.
Your kindness has brought light back into Arbab’s life and given him new hope and courage.
