Muhammad Bin Rizwan's Story

Muhammad Bin Rizwan, a 3-year-old boy from Lahore, has been living in a silent world since birth. His condition has limited his ability to interact with his family and participate in activities that most children enjoy. Rizwan has never heard the sounds of toys or even her mother’s soothing voice. When his parents noticed his unresponsiveness to sounds, they took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor.  After running some medical tests, the doctor diagnosed him with congenital sensorineural hearing loss and recommended cochlear implant surgery. However, the surgical cost is out of her family’s financial capacity.

The sooner Rizwan receives the cochlear implant, the better his chances of speech and language development, which are essential at his age. If he doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, he might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak.

Rizwan’s parents are determined to provide him with the opportunities he deserves, but financial barriers come in the way. Rizwan lives in a small house with his parents and four siblings, who are young and studying. His father is a police officer and his monthly income is just enough to cover their utility bills, educational fees, and other household expenses. They wish to see Rizwan communicating with his friends and family members but are unable to afford the cost associated with the cochlear implant surgery.

Rizwan’s parents said in despair:

“As parents, we want nothing more than to help our child succeed. The cochlear implant surgery can provide him with the ability to hear, but our family’s financial struggles are holding us back. We are desperate for assistance so our child can experience the joy of sounds. We request you to please help us.”

This surgery can change Rizwan’s life, allowing him to engage with the world around him and develop essential communication skills. His parents believe that with your support, Rizwan can thrive and reach his full potential.

By contributing to Rizwan’s surgery, you can help change his life for the better. Your donations can provide him with the gift of hearing, opening up a world of possibilities.

Muhammad Bin Rizwan's Story

Muhammad Bin Rizwan, a 3-year-old boy from Lahore, had lived in a world of silence since birth. His inability to hear limited his ability to communicate with his family and engage in activities that most children enjoy. Rizwan had never heard the sounds of his mother’s voice or the playful noises of his toys. This became a significant source of concern for his parents, who noticed his unresponsiveness to sounds. They took Rizwan to a local hospital, where he underwent a series of medical tests. The doctor diagnosed him with congenital sensorineural hearing loss and recommended cochlear implant surgery as the most effective solution to help Rizwan hear and develop speech. However, the cost of the cochlear implant surgery was beyond his family’s financial capacity.

Rizwan lived in a modest house with his parents and four younger siblings. His father, a police employee, earned just enough to cover the household expenses, including utility bills, the children’s educational fees, and basic necessities. The high cost of the cochlear implant surgery was out of his family’s reach, leaving them heartbroken and desperate for help. During this challenging time, Rizwan’s parents learned about Transparent Hands. They reached out to us and asked us to register his case. Through the support of generous donors, Rizwan’s surgery was scheduled, giving him the chance to experience sounds for the first time.

On November 30, 2024, Rizwan was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Lahore. Dr. Imran Saeed inserted the internal component of the cochlear implant. The surgery was a success, opening the doors of the world of sounds for Rizwan. After receiving post-operative care, Rizwan was discharged in stable condition on December 02, 2024.

Recently, the external component of Rizwan’s cochlear implant was installed, marking another significant step in his journey toward hearing and communication. Rizwan will now undergo speech therapy sessions to help him develop the ability to communicate effectively and fully engage with the world around him.

Rizwan’s parents expressed their happiness as follows:

"We used to dream of a world where our son could hear, and you’ve turned this into reality. We are forever grateful to everyone who made this possible."

Rizwan’s family is deeply grateful to you for supporting his cochlear implant surgery. Your generosity changed Rizwan’s life.
