Muhammad Rohan's Story

Muhammad Rohan, a 5-year-old boy from Gujrat, was unable to respond to voices, sounds, or even the call of his parents. Deeply concerned, his family took him for a detailed medical evaluation. After undergoing several diagnostic tests, he was diagnosed with congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL). The doctor advised a cochlear implant surgery. With the help of Transparent Hands, Rohan underwent a successful cochlear implant surgery on April 16, 2025. Rohan can listen now, but he is not familiar with the world of sounds. Therefore, he cannot understand and interpret language. In order to fully benefit from his cochlear implant, he now needs regular speech therapy sessions to learn how to recognize sounds, understand words, and eventually speak.

If Muhammad Rohan does not receive timely speech therapy, his progress may slow down or stop completely. Despite the success of his cochlear implant surgery, he may not learn to communicate effectively. It will lead to difficulties in learning and social interaction.

Rohan lives in a modest home with his parents and six family members. His father, a police employee, is the sole breadwinner in the family and earns a limited income. With his insufficient monthly income, they struggle hard to cover their living expenses. Affording to pay for Rohan’s much-needed speech therapy is beyond their reach. During this time of despair, Rohan’s family contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help. Rohan’s parents expressed their plea as follows:

“Rohan needs speech therapy to communicate properly. Without this therapy, he may never be able to express himself. We humbly request your support in giving our son the gift of speech.”

Rohan is counting on your kindness. With your support, he can receive the much-needed speech therapy that will eventually enable him to interact with others.

Be a source of hope for Rohan and contribute for his speech therapy.
