Sawera Bibi's Story

Sawera Bibi, a 24-year-old woman from Multan, is currently over 32 weeks pregnant and has a previous history of a C-section. Her gynecologist has recommended an elective C-section for a safe delivery due to the complications associated with her past childbirth. Unfortunately, the cost of the C-section is overwhelming for her family.

If Sawera does not receive the recommended C-section in time, there is a serious risk of labor complications. Attempting natural delivery after a previous C-section may result in uterine rupture, obstructed labor, and fetal distress.

Sawera is a housewife who devotes her time to her home and her young child. Her husband works as a laborer and earns a modest income of only PKR 15,000 per month. To help manage household expenses, Sawera’s mother-in-law also works in someone’s home and earns an additional PKR 15,000 per month. Despite their combined efforts, the family struggles to pay for their basic needs. They pay a monthly house rent of PKR 3,000 and have utility bills totaling PKR 3,500, leaving them with very little to cover medical expenses.

The cost of the required C-section is beyond what they can afford, and the financial burden is weighing heavily on the entire family. During this difficult time, Sawera is asking for your help so she can deliver her baby safely and without complications.

“I want nothing more than to deliver my baby safely, but we simply can’t afford the surgery. My husband’s income is just enough to cover our basic needs. Please help me during this difficult time so I can welcome my child into the world safely.” — Sawera Bibi
