Enable Shan Habib Ullah to See Clearly

Shan Habib Ullah's Story
Shan Habib Ullah, a 31-year-old man from Multan, is suffering from blurry and dim vision. His inability to see took away his job as a barber, leaving him unemployed. In addition, he faces immense challenges moving around his home, going outside, or even bringing something from a shop. Recently, he went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After conducting some medical tests, the doctor diagnosed him with a cataract in his left eye. A cataract is a clouding of the lens of the eye. To enable him to see clearly and live an independent life, the doctor has advised Phaco + IOL surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is out of his financial capacity.
If Shan does not get the surgery soon, the cataract may slowly get worse. It may ultimately increase the risk of blindness and Shan will remain dependent on others for even minor tasks.
Shan lives in a modest rented home with his joint family of eleven members. His father works hard to cover household expenses while also supporting Shan and his family financially. With their limited monthly income, they struggle to pay PKR 8000 for house rent and PKR 1200 for utility bills. Shan’s family is barely making ends meet, and in these difficult circumstances, affording the cost of his life-changing surgery is beyond their reach. During this time of need, Shan reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Shan expressed his heartfelt plea as follows:
“The world is fading before my eyes, and I can’t do anything. Cataract surgery can bring back my sight, but I don’t have the means to pay for it. Kindly, help me in undergoing the surgery so that I can find a job and continue to provide for my family.”
Shan’s future depends on this surgery. With your kindness and generosity, we can ensure that he receives the much-needed treatment.
Let’s join hands to help Shan undergo the life-changing eye surgery.

Shan Habib Ullah's Story
Shan Habib Ullah, a 31-year-old resident of Multan, faced a significant challenge when his vision began to blur and dim. Once a skilled barber, Shan took pride in supporting his family through his work. As his eyesight deteriorated, so did his ability to carry out the tasks of his profession. Eventually, he was forced to leave his job. Worried about his worsening condition, Shan went to a local hospital where doctors conducted a detailed eye examination and diagnosed Shan with a cataract in his left eye. The doctors recommended Phacoemulsification with Intraocular Lens (Phaco + IOL) surgery to restore his vision. However, the cost of the surgery was far beyond Shan’s means.
Shan lives in a modest rented house with a joint family of eleven members. With no personal income, he relies on his elderly father, who works hard to support the entire household. Already burdened with financial strain, the family could not afford the surgery, leaving Shan in a state of despair. During his search for help, Shan found Transparent Hands. He turned to us and asked for help. After listening to his concerns, we swiftly registered his case.
On April 25, 2025, Shan was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital in Multan. Dr. Safeet Shahbaz performed the left Phaco + IOL surgery successfully on April 26, 2025. The procedure went smoothly, and Shan was discharged the same day.
Sharing his joy and relief, Shan said:
"I can finally see clearly again! This surgery has given me a new beginning. I’m so thankful to everyone who helped make it possible. You’ve brought light back to my life."
Today, Shan is on the path to resuming his career and daily responsibilities with confidence and independence.
His restored vision has brought new hope and stability to his family. He is incredibly thankful to you.
