Ensure Shah Wazir’s Survival with Cardiac Surgery

Muhammad Shah Wazir Masood's Story
Muhammad Shah Wazir Masood, a 3-year-old boy from Faisalabad, has been suffering from breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. Any mild to moderate physical activity makes him breathless and fatigued. Moreover, he is not gaining proper weight and looks frail. Recently, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a detailed evaluation, Shah Wazir was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Right Coronary Cusp (RCC) Prolapse, and Trace Aortic Regurgitation (AR). These heart abnormalities mean that his heart isn’t functioning the way it should, and the constant stress on his little body is only increasing with time. To prevent his condition from worsening, his doctor has advised open-heart surgery for VSD closure.
Without surgical intervention, Shah Wazir may continue to face:
Persistent shortness of breath
Poor weight gain and delayed physical development
Risk of heart failure or other complications
Shah Wazir lives in a rented house with his parents and a sister. His father, a factory worker, earns PKR 65,000 per month, which is used to cover house rent (PKR 5,000), utility bills (PKR 1,000), and educational expenses (PKR 500). Despite doing everything he can to support the family, Shah Wazir’s father cannot afford the high cost of the cardiac surgery required to save his son’s life. The emotional and financial effects on the family have been overwhelming. They are doing their best to hold on to hope and have now reached out to Transparent Hands for assistance.
Shah Wazir’s parents expressed their plea as follows:
“Our son is just three years old and he has already struggled so much. As a father, nothing hurts more than not being able to afford the surgery that can save his life. We need your support to give him the healthy future he deserves.”
Let’s stand together to give this little boy a healthy life. Your donations can make his surgery possible and bring peace to a worried family.
