Aiza’s parents first became aware of her hearing loss when she was just a year old. They sought medical advice, and after careful evaluations and diagnostic tests, the doctors confirmed that she had sensorineural hearing loss. The recommended course of action for Aiza is cochlear implant surgery, a groundbreaking procedure that can restore her ability to hear. Living in a rented house with her parents and three siblings, Aiza’s family faces significant financial constraints. Her father, the sole earner, earns a modest monthly income of PKR 30,000. The cost of the cochlear implant surgery is beyond their means, leaving them with a heartbreaking dilemma. Aiza’s father shares his anguish, saying,
