Abdul Mateen had life-threatening heart defects from birth. The only thing that can save his life is open-heart surgery, but unfortunately, due to financial constraints, his father is unable to pay for such an expensive procedure. If these heart defects are not treated with surgery, they may cause heart failure, heart blocks, and high blood pressure in the lungs.  Your donation can help us save his heart. We urge you to give for Abdul Mateen’s open-heart surgery to prolong his life. 

One-year-old Abdul Mateen, a resident of Muzaffargarh, has been suffering from shortness of breath, cyanosis, and repeated episodes of chest infection since birth. His physical growth is also slow. His parents noticed his deteriorating health a few months ago and took him to the hospital. After a thorough evaluation and some diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with multiple heart conditions, including tricuspid atresia,  atrial septal defect,  ventricular septal defect, and pulmonary stenosis. He is advised to have open heart surgery for a CP shunt. 

 He lives with his parents and one sibling. His father is the family’s sole provider, earning only PKR 15,000 monthly. He can hardly afford to feed his family on that meager salary. Due to a lack of savings and the mounting costs associated with treating his son’s heart condition, he cannot afford the necessary surgery. His father said in despair:

“With your help and assistance, my son will have a better chance of surviving and accomplishing the things he has set out to do in the future.” 

After a lot of mental and physical exhaustion, his parents have requested Transparent Hands’ help. We have promised them that we would arrange funds for his surgery as soon as possible.
