Allah Ditta's Story
Allah Ditta, a 31-year-old resident of Sheikhupura, has been struggling with typhoid enteritis/cystitis. For three days, he has been experiencing the following symptoms: fever, chills, lower abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Due to these symptoms, he was unable to work.
Allah Ditta recently visited a hospital in search of relief, and the doctor advised treatment. After consultation, he was advised medical treatment and workup with blood tests as well as an ultrasound scan of his abdomen & pelvis. However, the expense of the treatment is a significant barrier faced by Allah Ditta. He has become frail due to his condition and even minor activities cause fatigue.
Allah Ditta is a cook by profession, earning a meager monthly income of PKR 25,000. He lives in a one-room house with his wife and three young children. He is the sole breadwinner in the entire family. With his limited income and the strain of daily living expenses, the financial burden of medical expenses has become a significant challenge.
“I am the only breadwinner in my family,” Allah Ditta complains. “With a wife and three children to support with all the monthly expenses, I have no room left for savings to spend on my health. The thought of spending money on treatment makes me nervous, as I worry about my capacity to provide for my family.”
“My family is my whole world, and I would do anything to ensure their well-being,” Allah Ditta continued to say. “But without the ability to pay for the necessary treatment, I feel helpless to support them. Allah Ditta's Story
Allah Ditta, a 31-year-old resident of Sheikhupura, had been battling recurrent Typhoid Enteritis. The symptoms associated with the illness were fever, chills, lower abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. He consulted a doctor who prescribed blood tests and an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and pelvis.
In his path toward recovery, the expense of the diagnostic tests was a significant barrier he faced. Allah Ditta is a cook with a meager monthly income of PKR 25000. His chronic illness limited his ability to work and provide for his family. Each day was a struggle as he battled severe gastrointestinal symptoms. With three young children relying on him, the fear of being unable to provide for them weighed heavily on his heart.
With hope in his heart, he contacted Transparent Hands and trusted us. With our facilitation, he was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital on 23rd June 2024. Allah Ditta was hospitalized for four days,treated with medicines and his abdomen and pelvis ultrasound was performed. During his stay in the hospital, he received essential medications, critical care, and monitoring. His condition improved significantly and he was discharged in a stable condition on 26th June 2024.
