Hussain Shah's Story

Hussain is an old man who has been suffering from knee pain for the past few years. He is unable to stand or walk for an extended period of time. The doctor has advised total knee replacement arthroplasty. It is an expensive surgery, and his family is unable to afford it. We urge you to give for Hussain’s Total Knee Arthroplasty and make his future pain-free.

Hussain Shah, a 79-year-old resident of Mardan, has been suffering from right knee osteoarthritis for the last two years. Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee occurs when the cartilage in the knee joint breaks down. The knee bones rub together, resulting in friction, pain, stiffness, and swelling. His right knee pain and swelling have gotten worse over time. His son took him to a local hospital. After running some diagnostic tests and a thorough evaluation, the doctor advised him to undergo right total knee replacement. It is a surgical procedure that involves cutting away damaged bone and cartilage from the kneecap and replacing it with an artificial joint (prosthesis).

He lives in a small house with his wife and eight children.  His son is responsible for taking care of the family’s financial needs. He has a private job and earns just PKR 19,000 per month. He is not financially stable enough to afford the surgical expenses. Hussain expressed his distress in the following words:

“Pain and stiffness in my knee joint have affected my physical and psychological well-being and social relationships. I feel too lonely sitting at home all day long. Please help me to overcome this condition with your generous donations.”

His son contacted Transparent Hands to register the case. We need your support in the form of donations to make Hussain’s total knee replacement surgery possible. Hussain and his family will be grateful to you even if you make a small contribution. Come forward and give for Hussain’s Total Knee Arthroplasty as much as you can.
