Naseem Jan's Story

Naseem Jan has gallstones, and this condition is causing her a lot of pain and discomfort. The constant pain is making it difficult for her to concentrate on household responsibilities. Her husband is not in a stable financial situation and cannot afford the surgical expenses. We request that you come forward to donate generously.

Naseem Jan, a 46-year-old resident of Karachi, has been suffering from episodes of upper abdominal pain for a few months. She went to the local clinic for an initial check-up. The doctor prescribed some painkillers to relieve the pain. However, she was not cured and went to another hospital, where she underwent some diagnostic tests. Upon evaluation, she was diagnosed with gallstones. Their presence is called cholelithiasis. The doctor advised her to undergo surgery. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a surgery to remove gallbladder-containing stones. Otherwise, they can lead to complications such as bile duct obstruction. This condition may also result in a severe or fatal infection of the bile ducts, pancreas, or liver.

She lives with her husband and three children. Her husband is a sole earner and earns just PKR 25,000 per month. Her father cannot pay for the surgery with his limited income. Naseem Jan said in a depressed tone:

“I am currently facing significant physical pain and discomfort, and I find myself in a state of desperation. Your financial assistance would have an immense impact on my well-being, and I would be incredibly grateful if you could extend a helping hand.”

Her family contacted our team, and now her case is registered with Transparent Hands. We are determined to raise funds for her surgery with your support. You can change this lady’s future with your donation. She has placed her hopes in your hands. We urge you to give for Naseem Jan’s cholecystectomy and receive countless blessings. Your help will give her a chance at a normal, healthy life.

Naseem Jan's Story

Naseem Jan, a 46-year-old resident of Karachi, had been enduring relentless episodes of upper abdominal pain for several months. Frustrated by the lack of relief, she sought medical attention at a local clinic. The attending doctor prescribed painkillers in an attempt to alleviate her suffering. However, despite her adherence to the medication, the pain persisted, prompting her to seek a second opinion at another hospital.

At the hospital, Naseem underwent a series of diagnostic tests to determine the cause of her symptoms. The results revealed the presence of gallstones, a condition known as cholelithiasis. It became clear that surgical intervention was necessary for her recovery. The doctor recommended a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder.

Finding themselves in a difficult financial situation, Naseem's family reached out to Transparent Hands, we readily registered her case, and began their efforts to secure the necessary funds for her surgery.

With the generous support of donors, we successfully raised the required funds, enabling Naseem to receive the medical attention she desperately needed. She was admitted to Murshid Hospital, Karachi, where the skilled surgeon, Dr. Nida, performed the laparoscopic cholecystectomy on 13-10-2023.

The operation was a success, and the source of her pain and discomfort was successfully removed. Thanks to the expertise of Dr. Nida and the compassionate care provided by the medical staff at the hospital, Naseem's recovery progressed smoothly. After just one day of post-operative observation, she was deemed fit for discharge.

Naseem and her family are overwhelmed with gratitude for the invaluable assistance they received from Transparent Hands and the selfless donors who made her surgery possible. Their kindness and generosity have not only relieved Naseem of her physical pain but have also lifted a tremendous burden off the shoulders of her family.
