Samra Noreen 's Story

Samra’s life changed forever fifteen years ago when a tragic road accident caused her to lose her leg. Since then, she has been struggling to maintain her independence and mobility. She was using a prosthetic leg, but unfortunately, it has now worn out, leaving her immobile and unable to perform even the simplest of tasks. She desperately needs an artificial leg to regain her freedom and return to a normal life. That’s where your support can make a difference. We urge you to give for Samra’s artificial leg to ease her suffering.

Samra, a 30-year-old resident of Toba Tek Singh, injured her left leg badly in a traffic accident fifteen years ago. She was taken to the emergency room of a local hospital for first aid. Her leg was badly crushed, and the doctor could not save it. The doctor had to amputate her leg above the knee. She got her first prosthetic leg in 2011, but due to the difference in size, she could not use it effectively. Then, she received another prosthetic leg, two years ago, with the help of Transparent Hands. But now, it was also worn out. She needs a new prosthetic leg

Despite working as an invigilator at a private university, Samra’s limited income of PKR 18,000 per month is not enough to cover all her expenses. She feels trapped and helpless, unable to afford the basic necessity of a functioning leg. It’s a heartbreaking situation that no one should have to endure. She said in distress:

“I’m not just asking for an artificial leg, I’m asking for a chance to feel whole again. With your support, I can live a life with dignity. Please donate today and help me.”

After a lot of distress, Samra registered her case with Transparent Hands. With your help, we can change her life. Your donation can give her the freedom and confidence to perform daily tasks without relying on others. Your generosity can ease her suffering and give her a chance to live a fulfilling life. We ask you to give for Samra’s artificial leg and help her walk again. Donate now without any delay.

Samra Noreen 's Story

Fifteen years ago, Samra's life took a tragic turn when a road accident resulted in the devastating loss of her leg. Since that fateful day, she has faced numerous challenges in her quest to maintain independence and mobility. Although initially equipped with a prosthetic leg, the passage of time has taken its toll, rendering it ineffective and leaving Samra immobile, depriving her of the ability to perform even the most basic tasks. Now, more than ever, Samra finds herself in desperate need of a new artificial leg—an essential tool that holds the promise of restoring her freedom and allowing her to reclaim a normal life.

In the aftermath of the traffic accident that occurred in Toba Tek Singh, Samra underwent an above-the-knee amputation, as her leg was severely crushed and deemed irreparable. In 2011, she obtained her first prosthetic leg; however, challenges persisted due to size discrepancies, making it difficult for her to find comfort and stability. Two years ago, with the assistance of Transparent Hands, Samra acquired another prosthetic leg that provided temporary relief. However, the wear and tear it endured over time necessitated a replacement, renewing her reliance on Transparent Hands for support.

Through the generous contributions of compassionate donors, she underwent a successful amputation procedure on November 7th, 2023, at the esteemed Hope Rehabilitation Centre under the expert supervision of Dr. Khalid Niaz. The profound impact of such support on Samra's life cannot be overstated, and she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Transparent Hands and all donors for their unwavering assistance throughout her journey. The provision of a new artificial leg signifies a significant turning point in Samra's life—a turning point filled with renewed hope, resilience, and determination. With her freedom restored and a renewed sense of purpose, Samra is now inspired to face life's challenges head-on, armed with the confidence to overcome any obstacle that comes her way.
