Sirajan Bibi's Story

Sirajan Bibi, a 64-year-old resident of Karachi, has been experiencing upper right abdominal pain and vomoting for the past four years. Nausea and bouts of vomiting have become part of her daily existence, often leaving her bedridden. Despite trying various medications, Sirajan found no relief, and she consulted a specialist. After performing diagnostic tests and an ultrasound scan, the doctor diagnosed Sirajan with Cholelithiasis—hardened deposits in her gallbladder that are causing her pain and discomfort. To alleviate her suffering, the doctor recommended a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Unfortunately, Sirajan’s family is unable to afford the surgery, leaving her in a state of despair.

The discomfort has not only affected her physical well-being but has also taken a toll on her mental health. If her condition is left untreated, poor dietary intake will continue to worsen her health. Additionally, continued intake of medicines may disturb her stomach.

Sirajan lives in a modest rented house with her five children. The loss of her husband years ago has thrust her into a world of financial instability, making her health challenges even more troublesome. Her son, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 30,000 per month. With this meager monthly income, they struggle to cover house rent amounting to PKR 8000 and utility bills adding up to PKR 5000. Furthermore, a staggering loan of PKR 150,000 makes the needed cost of the surgery unattainable. During this time of need, Sirajan turned to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.

Sirajan expressed her feelings of hopelessness by saying,

“Every day is a battle against pain. My son is overwhelmed by financial struggles and cannot afford the surgery I desperately need. Your support can change my life. Please give me a chance to have a pain-free life.”

Sirajan is hopeful that through your support, she can undergo the cholecystectomy and reclaim her life. Your donations can provide Sirajan with the opportunity to heal and thrive once again. Join us in making a positive impact on her life, allowing her to embrace a future filled with hope and happiness.

Sirajan Bibi's Story

Sirajan Bibi, a 64-year-old widow from Karachi, had been suffering from persistent upper right abdominal pain, nausea, and frequent bouts of vomiting. These symptoms had become an unavoidable part of her daily life, often leaving her weak and bedridden. Concerned about her deteriorating health, she consulted a specialist. After undergoing diagnostic tests and an ultrasound scan, she was diagnosed with Cholelithiasis—gallstones causing significant discomfort and pain. The doctor advised a laparoscopic cholecystectomy to remove her gallbladder and provide lasting relief. However, the financial burden of the surgery was far beyond her family’s means.

Sirajan lived in a small rented house with her five children. Since losing her husband years ago, she has been facing the hardships of life alone. Her son, the sole provider for the family, worked as a daily wage laborer, earning only PKR 30,000 per month. With this limited income, managing household expenses was already a challenge, leaving no room for costly procedures. As her condition worsened, Sirajan and her family felt helpless, unable to afford the much-needed treatment. In their search for help, Sirajan’s family learned about Transparent Hands and reached out for assistance. Understanding the nature of her situation, we swiftly registered her case.

On January 14, 2025, Sirajan was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Attaullah performed a successful laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The surgery was carried out with care, effectively removing the gallbladder containing stones that had caused her years of suffering. After receiving post-operative care, Sirajan was discharged in a stable condition on January 15, 2025.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Sirajan expressed her heartfelt appreciation as follows:

"I am finally free from the pain that controlled my life for so long. You enabled me to live without constant discomfort and sickness. May you always be blessed for bringing relief to needy patients like me. My family and I will forever be grateful for your life-changing support."

With the pain that once dominated her life now gone, Sirajan is now recovering. She can once again carry out her daily activities without discomfort. Sirajan’s successful treatment has given her a fresh start. Her family extends their deepest gratitude to you for making a meaningful impact on Sirajan’s life.
