Sughran Bibi's Story

In the town of Kasur, a determined Sughran Bibi, aged 48, found herself facing a formidable adversary: breast cancer. For ten months, she bravely confronted the physical and emotional toll of a lump in her left breast. Seeking solace and answers, Sughran sought medical advice, which confirmed her worst suspicions: she had been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. However, Sughran remained determined to fight for her health and now she needed chemotherapy.

Following her diagnosis, Sughran diligently pursued the guidance of a medical doctor, who recommended conservative surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. In January 2023, she underwent the procedure with the hope that it would mark a turning point in her battle. However, her journey was far from over. Upon reviewing her final reports, her dedicated oncologist determined that further treatment was crucial—chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Given her positive status, Sughran understood the critical importance of chemotherapy in enhancing her chances of recovery.

Sughran, a dedicated housewife and mother of four children, found herself burdened by the weight of her surgical expenses. Her husband’s monthly income of PKR 25,000 proved insufficient to meet the financial demands imposed by her medical treatments.

Sughran Bibi said the following words with teary eyes:

“As a mother, my greatest fear is leaving my children burdened with grief and hardship. It is with this in mind that I request that you join hands and contribute towards my cancer treatment expenses. Your generous contributions will alleviate the financial strain on my family and empower me to continue my fight against breast cancer.”

In this time of need, Sughran reached out to Transparent Hands. We understood the urgency of Sughran’s case and were determined to ensure she received the best available treatment. By embracing the power of compassion and generosity, we have the opportunity to reshape her story and bring hope to her life so she can lead a healthy life and take care of her family.
