Zafar Iqbal, a 70-year-old resident of Lahore, found himself facing a daunting challenge when he experienced pain, swelling, and difficulty in eating due to a lower jaw movements. After investigations, he received a devastating diagnosis: squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity. Determined to combat the disease, Zafar underwent a tumour excision and neck dissection surgery through Transparent Hands six weeks ago. The histopathological report confirmed the presence of alveolar carcinoma. Now, he requires radiotherapy to complete his comprehensive treatment plan.

Zafar, a dedicated family man, resides in own house in Lahore with his wife and five children. While his sons contribute to the family’s expenses with their monthly income, the financial burden of Zafar’s treatment and daily expenses has become overwhelming. Despite their best efforts, they are unable to afford the cost of radiotherapy.
