Haleema Bibi Wants to See the World Again
Haleema Bibi's Story
Haleema Bibi, a 74-year-old woman from Lahore, is experiencing cloudy and dim vision. Haleema’s life has been badly affected by this visual impairment. Concerned about her condition, she consulted a doctor who recommended Phaco + IOL surgery to treat the visual impairment in her left eye.
The Cataract has made it challenging for her to see obstacles while walking, and her risk of falling has increased. Haleema has lived a long life filled with cherished moments but now her life has been impacted by the limitations caused by the cataract.
Haleema longs to see the smiles of her loved ones and enjoy the remaining years of her life. However, the financial constraints have made it challenging for her to undergo the much-needed surgery. Haleema Bibi lives in her daughter’s house and depends on her for the daily needs. They live in a modest two-room brick house in a rural area of Lahore. The cost of the surgery is overwhelming for the family, which is already struggling to make ends meet.
Haleema faces difficulty while performing basic tasks and her unfortunate condition has made her isolated and depressed. Her family contacted Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case.
Haleema said in despair:
“All I want is to regain my clear sight and independence. I want to see my loved ones. I have become a burden on my family due to my inability to see things clearly. I want to experience the beauty of the things around me again. Please help me.”
We promptly registered Haleema Bibi’s case and promised to support her treatment. We need your contribution to improve her quality of life.
Let’s restore Haleema Bibi’s vision and enable her to see the world again. Your donations will bring back light and hope in her life.
