Hani Ali Nawaz's Story

Hani awaits Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy. Donate for Hani’s Kidney stones removal surgery. Before you proceed on to read the details of Hani’s case, please be sure of the fact that your contribution will help relieve the pain she has been long enduring. Therefore, we request you kindly donate as much as you can and make a change in her life.

Hani, a forty years old resident of Tando Allahyar, Sindh, has been enduring pain in her right kidney for the last 6 years of her life. She went to a public hospital and was given symptomatic treatment. However, the treatment didn’t work quite well for her and over time, her pain worsened. She went for further evaluation after she could not bear the pain anymore. After running some tests and an Ultrasound scan, the Urologist diagnosed her with right renal stones. The doctor advised her to get a Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL). PCNL is a technique used to remove certain stones in the kidney or upper ureter (the tube that drains urine from the kidney to the bladder) that are too large for other forms of stone treatment.

Hani and her husband belong to a rural area where the basic medical facilities are not even available. Her husband is a laborer and only earns PKR. 12000 and is the sole earner of the family. With a number of eight dependents to look after, it is impossible for him to be able to arrange the cost of his wife’s procedure. Hani shared her pain with Transparent Hands in the following words:

“I have been enduring this pain long enough. I have never really complained about it much knowing our financial circumstances but the pain is not bearable anymore. I cripple with this pain and hardly can manage any chores. It is really affecting my everyday life.”

Fortunately for Hani, her case has been verified and registered with Transparent Hands and we are more than happy to assist her surgery. But, this will not be possible without your support and generosity. Hani awaits Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy, therefore we request you to please donate for Hani’s kidney stones removal.
