Haroon Rabi ul Awal's Story

Haroon awaits his procedure and needs your support to live a normal and healthy life. He has already suffered a lot in the first couple of years of his life. Even a small donation can make a huge difference.

Haroon, a two-year-old resident of Sialkot, has been through so much in such a short span of his life. Haroon was born with intestinal obstruction for which he had to undergo a Colostomy just when he was nine months old. The doctor assessed and diagnosed the reason for his intestinal obstruction as Hirschsprung’s disease. Hirschsprung disease is a birth defect in which some nerve cells are missing in the large intestine, so a child’s intestine can’t move stool and gets blocked. The doctor further advised Wahab to undergo a Pull-Through Surgery under frozen section. The goal of pull-through surgery is to remove the diseased section of the child’s intestine and then pull the healthy portion down to the anus.

Due to continuous delays from the hospitals and years of waiting, Haroon’s parents had lost all hope until they found Transparent Hands. We have verified and registered Haroon’s case. Haroon’s father shared his distress with us in the following words:

“My baby is suffering and I can’t do anything about it. I cannot even fathom the pain he has been through since he was born. Only Transparent Hands has given me hope. Please help my son.”

Haroon’s father is a washerman and merely earns PKR 25,000 a month. In such a meager amount, it is almost impossible for him to afford the cost of his son’s procedure.

In these gloomy circumstances, a ray of hope still lies at the end of the tunnel in the form of your donations. We are determined to get him cured but that will not be possible without your support. Please donate generously as soon as possible as Haroon awaits his procedure.

Haroon Rabi ul Awal's Story

Two-year-old Haroon, a resident of Sialkot, was suffering from a delayed passage of meconium, abdominal distention, and constipation. He was operated on at Emergency and a colostomy was made at the age of nine months. The doctor diagnosed him with Hirschsprung disease. He was advised to undergo Stoma reversal surgery later on. Haroon was admitted to Ittefaq hospital and Dr. Daud performed his Exploratory Laparotomy and Stoma Reversal surgery on 26-05-2022. He was discharged from the hospital after five days of stay. His postoperative course was complicated with bleeding per rectum for which he was readmitted to Ittefaq Hospital on 20-06-2022 and managed with blood transfusions. Dr. Daud performed his Sigmoidoscopy and his bleeding was controlled with an endoscopic procedure. He recovered well after his procedure and was discharged from the hospital after 28 days of stay. He has recovered completely now.
