Muhammad Ahmad's Story

Muhammad Ahmad, a 3-year-old boy from Depalpur, Okara, has never known what it feels like to breathe freely. Since birth, he has struggled with shortness of breath and chest infections, making even the simplest activities a challenge. Unlike other children of his age, he cannot run, play, or laugh without feeling exhausted. Recently, Ahmed’s condition worsened, and his mother took him to a doctor. After a series of diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed Amed with Large Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and Right Ventricular Volume Overload (RVVO). These are congenital heart defects that are putting an immense load on his little heart. To save his life and improve his health, his doctor has advised open-heart surgery for ASD closure. However, the cost of this critical surgery is beyond his family’s financial means.

Without this surgery, Ahmed’s condition will only deteriorate, and his life will remain at risk. His condition may lead to heart failure.

Ahmed lives with his mother and two siblings in a house provided by someone out of generosity. His mother is the only earning member of the family. She works hard as a tutor and seamstress, but she is only able to earn PKR 25,000 per month. Their basic expenses include PKR 5000 for utility bills, and food expenses, leaving very little for medical costs. No matter how much she struggles, affording her son’s surgery is simply impossible. During this challenging time, Ahmed’s family reached out to Transparent Hands.

With tears in her eyes, Ahmed’s mother shared her pain as follows:

“I have done everything in my power to provide for my children, but I feel helpless when I see Ahmed suffering. His breathlessness and weakness break my heart every single day. I pray for a miracle that will allow him to live a normal, and healthy life. Please help me save my son.”

With your support, Ahmed can receive the treatment and experience a childhood free from pain and breathlessness.

Ahmed’s future is in your hands. Your generosity can save his life. Please donate today and give him the gift of a healthy heart.

Muhammad Ahmad's Story

Muhammad Ahmad, a 3-year-old boy from Depalpur, Okara, has been suffering from repeated episodes of chest infections since birth. Every mild to moderate physical activity made him gasp for breath and he felt exhausted. Unlike other children of his age, he was unable to enjoy the cherished moments of his childhood. Hoping to find answers, his family took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After running necessary medical tests, the doctor diagnosed Ahmad with a Large Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and Right Ventricular Volume Overload (RVVO). To heal his heart issue, the doctor strongly recommended open-heart surgery for ASD closure. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery was beyond his family’s financial capacity.

Ahmad’s mother is the sole breadwinner of the family and earns a monthly income of just PKR 25,000 as a seamstress and tutor. Ahmed has two siblings, and they all live in a modest home provided by someone out of generosity. After covering their utility bills and food expenses, they were left with nothing to save for Ahmad’s surgery. They faced immense financial hardships, and affording to pay for his surgery was impossible for them. With hope in her heart, Ahmad’s mother turned to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance. After listening to her concerns, we promptly registered her case.

On April 22, 2025, Ahmad was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore. His surgery took place on April 23, 2025. Dr. Asim Khan, an expert surgeon, expertly performed Ahmad’s surgery and closed the defects in Ahmad’s heart. On April 27, 2025, Ahmad was discharged in stable condition from the hospital.

His mother’s eyes were filled with tears, and she said:

“I still can’t believe that my son’s heart surgery was successful. Before the operation, I counted each day, hoping for someone to help us. I never imagined we would receive such incredible support. Your generosity helped treat my son’s heart condition, and I will be forever grateful.”

Ahmad is now recovering well, and he can now play, run, and laugh like other kids of his age. By donating to his surgery, you have secured his future.

His family extends their deepest gratitude to you and the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation for changing Ahmad’s life.
