Heal Azhar Iqbal’s Heart with Cardiac Surgery

Azhar Iqbal's Story
Azhar Iqbal, a 52-year-old man from Islamabad, is suffering from chest pain and shortness of breath. At first, he dismissed it, hoping it would settle down. However, over time, the episodes grew more frequent and intense. His discomfort leaves him exhausted and unable to perform his routine tasks. Concerned for his health and future, he decided to seek medical advice. After performing a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Azhar with Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD) – Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease, a condition in which narrowed or blocked arteries reduce blood flow to the heart muscle. To restore proper blood flow and reduce the risk of complications, his doctor has strongly advised Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG).
Without this surgery, Azhar’s condition may deteriorate rapidly, leaving him at serious risk of heart failure.
Azhar lives in a modest rented home in Faisalabad with his wife and three children. He is the sole provider for his family, and he works with a construction company. He struggles to manage his household expenses, including house rent, educational costs for his children, and utility bills. Moreover, the family also struggles under a loan of PKR 250,000, making it extremely difficult for them to save for the high cost of this expensive heart procedure.
Azhar said in despair:
“I never imagined I’d face a time like this. Each day is filled with fear and uncertainty. I ask for your kindness. Please help me get this surgery so I can regain my health and live without this constant pain and worry.”
