Help Anaya Undergo Eye-Surgery
Anaya Zahra's Story
A 5-year-old Anaya Zahra from Multan has faced a formidable challenge since childhood – the burden of cataracts in her eyes. However, with the unwavering support of Transparent Hands, Anaya’s family found the strength to confront this obstacle head-on.
Just one year ago, the cataract in Anaya’s left eye had progressed to the point of severely compromising her vision. On May 13, 2024, Anaya underwent a successful (L) Phaco IOL surgery, a specialized procedure that replaced the clouded lens in her left eye with an artificial intraocular lens.
This life-changing operation was a testament to the unwavering determination of Anaya’s family and the compassionate support of Transparent Hands. Suddenly, Anaya could see the world with renewed clarity.
However, the journey is far from over, as Anaya now faces a new challenge – a cataract has developed in her right eye. Determined to restore her daughter’s vision, Anaya’s father, a hardworking rider earning a modest 20,000 rupees per month, has once again reached out to Transparent Hands for financial assistance.
Providing for a family of five, including Anaya’s two sisters and brother, in their modest 5-marla home, the financial burden of the surgical expenses has become an overwhelming obstacle. Anaya’s father expressed his anguish, saying, “Seeing the transformation in Anaya’s left eye gave us so much hope, but now we face the same challenge with her right eye. I want nothing more than to restore her vision completely, but the cost of the surgery is simply too much for our family to bear.”
It is in this moment of need that we turn to the compassionate hearts of our community. Your support can make a profound difference in the life of young Anaya, helping her family overcome the financial hurdle and undergo the necessary surgery for her right eye. Together, we can open the doors of sight for Anaya, allowing her to embrace the wonders of the world and fulfill her boundless potential.

Anaya Zahra's Story
Anaya Zahra, a five-year-old girl from Multan, was diagnosed with cataracts in both her eyes. She had struggled with eye-related problems since her birth. Anaya’s consultant recommended surgery for both eyes.
Due to eyesight issues, Anaya was facing many challenges in their studies and other aspects of life. Her father, Zeeshan Saleem, a rider at Leopards Courier, contacted Transparent Hands for assistance because he couldn’t afford the surgeries due to financial constraints. Zeeshan only earns PKR 20,000 per month, which is insufficient to meet the needs of four growing children. Anaya has two more sisters and a brother. They live in a 5-marla house, and their father works hard to make ends meet. He is the sole breadwinner for the family. As Anaya’s condition deteriorated, the family felt increasingly worried.
Transparent Hands registered Anaya’s case. Her first surgery for the left eye was successfully conducted in May 2024. She felt much relieved after her first surgery. She could see better afterward. However, to restore full vision, she also had to undergo surgery on her right eye. For the second surgery, Anaya was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Medical & Dental College on 21-08-24, where she had another successful surgery. Her doctor, Dr. Asif Manzoor, is happy with her recovery. Her family is so glad to see her more active and vibrant. Her vision has been completely restored, and she is now as active as her siblings.
Zeeshan said with his heart filled with gratitude, “I would like to thank Transparent Hands and all the donors twice because they arranged both of Anaya’s surgeries. Her surgeries went very well. She can see clearly with both eyes now. Everyone in our home is happy.”
Anaya can see everything clearly now and is ready to explore the world like other children.
