Muhammad Hussain's Story

Muhammad Hussain, a three-year-old resident of Abbottabad, is living in a world of silence. Since birth, he has been grappling with congenital sensorineural hearing loss, unable to engage with his loving parents and the vibrant world surrounding him. Muhammad’s parents first noticed his hearing impairment when he turned two, prompting them to seek a glimmer of hope for their beloved son.

After extensive consultations and examinations, doctors have recommended cochlear implant surgery. This transformative procedure involves the implantation of an electronic device that stimulates the hearing nerve, enabling patients to regain the precious gift of sound.

Hussain resides in a small house with his parents and one sibling in Abbottabad. His father, as the sole earner, faces an uphill battle in providing for his family on a meager monthly income of just PKR 30,000. After meeting the demands of utility bills amounting to PKR 1500, purchasing groceries, and covering daily expenses, there is no room for savings. They have no alternative means of financial support.

Muhammad’s father feels an immense sense of helplessness, burdened by the weight of financial instability. He longs to provide his son with the opportunity to experience the world of sound, to hear their voices, and to communicate freely. However, the overwhelming financial strain makes it impossible for him to afford the expenses associated with the life-changing surgery that could bestow the ability to hear upon his cherished son.

Hussain’s father, filled with despair, expressed:

“We deeply wish my son to experience the joy of sounds, to hear us speak, and to gain the opportunity to interact and flourish. Yet, the enormity of our financial challenges appears overwhelming.”

Moved by their heartfelt plea, Transparent Hands has registered Muhammad’s case, offering an extraordinary opportunity to make a lasting impact on his life. With open hearts, let us come together to champion Hussain’s cause and generously contribute towards his cochlear implant surgery.

Muhammad Hussain's Story

Muhammad Hussain, a three-year-old resident of Abbottabad, has been living in a world of silence since birth due to congenital sensorineural hearing loss. His parents noticed his hearing impairment when he turned two, and this prompted them to seek a glimmer of hope for their beloved son.

After extensive consultations and examinations, doctors recommended cochlear implant surgery for Hussain. However, his father, burdened by financial instability, felt an immense sense of helplessness. Transparent Hands, moved by their heartfelt plea, registered Hussain's case, offering a lifeline to the family.

With the support of compassionate donors, Hussain was admitted to Saidu Teaching Hospital in Swat, where Dr. Mahid Iqbal successfully performed the cochlear implant surgery on March 20, 2024. After four days, Hussain was discharged, marking the beginning of his new journey.

Within six weeks, the external implant was installed, accompanied by scheduled speech therapy sessions that promised to unlock the wonders of sound once more. Each therapy session became a transformative stepping stone for Muhammad Hussain, leading him towards mastering language and communication.

With unwavering determination and the support of his dedicated therapists, Hussain began to open doors to a world where his thoughts and feelings could be shared and understood. Through this incredible process, he fostered deeper connections and enriched his journey of self-discovery. Muhammad Hussain and his family extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate donors, whose generosity has forever changed their lives.

With the ability to fully engage in his studies and communicate effectively, Muhammad Hussain will be poised to achieve his goals, pursue his passions, and make a positive impact on the world around him. He can now actively participate in social interactions, form meaningful connections with others, and navigate the world with greater independence.
