Muhammad Idrees's Story

Idrees, a 63-year-old resident of Lahore, is facing a tough time because of his diabetes. His health took a turn for the worse when he developed inflammation in his foot. Worried about his condition, Idrees went to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a condition called diabetic foot. This happens when diabetes causes poor blood circulation and nerve damage.

Unfortunately, things didn’t get better for Idrees. The infection in his foot started to spread, and it became a serious problem. The doctors had to make a difficult decision to amputate two of his fingers to stop the infection from spreading further. But even that didn’t solve the problem completely. The infection continued, and the doctors had no choice but to amputate his leg below the knee.

Feeling devastated by the loss of his leg, Idrees needed help to get back on his feet, but he faced financial difficulties. He said it in despair.

“I humbly appeal to your generosity to support me in regaining my mobility and independence through a prosthetic leg.”

That’s when he reached out to Transparent Hands, an organization that helps people in need of medical support and prosthetic solutions. We quickly stepped in to assist Idrees during this critical time. We called on kind-hearted donors to help provide him with a prosthetic leg.

The donations received through our campaign will help Idrees regain his ability to walk and be independent. With the funds, he will be provided with a special prosthetic leg that suits his needs. He will also receive rehabilitation to help him adjust to the new leg and regain his strength and balance. The support from donors will not only restore his mobility but also give him emotional encouragement and remind him that he is not alone in his journey. With these donations, Idrees will have the opportunity to rebuild his life and face the future with confidence and hope.

Muhammad Idrees's Story

Idrees, a 63-year-old resident of Lahore, had been enduring a difficult time due to his diabetes. Unfortunately, his health took a turn for the worse when he developed inflammation in his foot—a consequence of the disease. Worried about his deteriorating condition, Idrees sought medical help at the hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with diabetic foot, a condition caused by diabetes-related poor blood circulation and nerve damage.

Regrettably, Idrees' situation didn't improve. The infection in his foot spread rapidly, becoming a grave concern. To halt the infection's progression, the doctors faced a tough decision—to amputate two of Idrees' fingers. Despite their best efforts, the infection persisted, leaving the doctors with no alternative but to amputate his leg below the knee.

Devastated by the loss of his leg, Idrees found himself in a desperate financial predicament, unable to navigate his way back to a normal life. Seeking assistance, he reached out to Transparent Hands, and we promptly registered his case, aiming to gather the necessary funds.

Thanks to the generous donations received, Idrees was referred to Hope Rehabilitation Centre, where the proficient Dr. Khalid Niaz oversaw his procedure. On March 29, 2024, a skilled medical team worked tirelessly to fix an artificial leg according to the size of Idrees. The prosthetic limb became more than a physical aid—it symbolized hope, resilience, and the chance for Idrees to reclaim his rightful place in the world. Transparent Hands played a pivotal role in turning his life around, providing him the means to regain mobility and self-confidence.

This transformative journey, made possible through the support of Transparent Hands, donors, and the dedicated medical professionals at Hope Rehabilitation Centre, allowed Idrees to face the future with renewed determination, despite the challenges he had faced. With the aid of his new artificial leg, Idrees regained the ability to walk, granting him a newfound sense of independence and freedom.
