Muhammad Saleem, a 61-year-old resident of Toba Tek Singh, has been suffering from diabetes. One year ago, his left foot got inflamed with ulcers. He went to the doctor at the local hospital. Upon evaluation, he was diagnosed with an infected diabetic foot. He had developed a spreading soft tissue infection from his foot ulcers that finally required amputation. The doctor had to amputate his left leg below the knee.

He lives with his wife and three children. He is the only earner in the family, and he could not afford to obtain an artificial leg on his own. He said in despair:

“Restless nights consume me, burdened by this disability that weighs heavily on my heart. My family’s livelihood depends on me, and the weight of their well-being keeps me awake. I humbly implore you to extend a helping hand, for your support can help me get an artificial leg.”
