Muhammad Saleem's Story

Saleem’s life has been tragically altered, forever marked by the heart-wrenching amputation of his left leg. Since that fateful moment, he has been navigating a treacherous path filled with immense physical and emotional challenges. Determined not to burden those around him, Saleem yearns for the opportunity to regain his independence, to stand tall and walk with pride once more. But he cannot do it alone. He desperately needs your compassionate support to acquire a prosthetic leg that will grant him the chance to lead a life of dignity and self-sufficiency. The devastating loss of his leg not only robbed him of his mobility but also cast a dark shadow over his financial stability. Trapped in a cycle of limited resources, Saleem finds himself unable to obtain the artificial limb that holds the key to his freedom and independence. We urge you to help Saleem regain mobility by donating generously.

Muhammad Saleem, a 61-year-old resident of Toba Tek Singh, has been suffering from diabetes. One year ago, his left foot got inflamed with ulcers. He went to the doctor at the local hospital. Upon evaluation, he was diagnosed with an infected diabetic foot. He had developed a spreading soft tissue infection from his foot ulcers that finally required amputation. The doctor had to amputate his left leg below the knee.

He lives with his wife and three children. He is the only earner in the family, and he could not afford to obtain an artificial leg on his own. He said in despair:

“Restless nights consume me, burdened by this disability that weighs heavily on my heart. My family’s livelihood depends on me, and the weight of their well-being keeps me awake. I humbly implore you to extend a helping hand, for your support can help me get an artificial leg.”

After exhausting all other options, he registered his case with Transparent Hands, and we are determined to help him get back on his feet. Therefore, we urge you to be generous with your donations and help him walk again. We sincerely appeal to you to contribute with an open heart, as your donation can make a world of difference in his life.

Muhammad Saleem's Story

Muhammad Saleem, a 61-year-old resident of Toba Tek Singh, had been grappling with the challenges of diabetes. A year ago, he encountered a distressing situation when ulcers developed on his left foot, causing inflammation. Seeking medical attention at the local hospital, he received a diagnosis of an infected diabetic foot, characterized by a spreading soft tissue infection originating from the foot ulcers. Unfortunately, the gravity of his condition necessitated a critical decision: the amputation of his left leg. Amidst the burden of this life-altering procedure, Saleem faced the additional challenge of being unable to afford an artificial leg, which was vital for him to regain his mobility and independence. Exhausting all other options, he turned to Transparent Hands, an organization committed to assisting individuals in need. Recognizing the urgency and importance of his case, we are dedicated to helping Saleem overcome his limitations and restore his ability to walk. Under the expert supervision of Dr. Khalid at Hope Rehabilitation Centre, Saleem received his prosthetic leg on October 27th, 2023.
