Muhammad Shanwar's Story

Muhammad Shanwar, an eight-year-old resident of Kabirwala, has been burdened with a challenging condition: a cataract in his right eye. This condition has caused him significant discomfort and impaired his vision, hindering his ability to fully participate in the world around him.

Shanwar’s parents recently became aware of his condition and sought medical assistance at their local hospital. After consultations with an eye specialist, they learned that the only solution to restore Shanwar’s vision and give him a brighter future was surgery. Specifically, he requires a procedure called right phaco with IOL (intraocular lens) insertion.

Unfortunately, Shanwar’s family faces financial constraints that prevent them from covering the cost of the surgery. With heavy hearts, his parents are reaching out to the compassionate members of the community for support during this crucial time.

In despair, his father expressed,

Thanks to the generosity of donors, Shanwar was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Teaching Hospital in Multan, where Dr. Sadaqat Ali, a skilled ophthalmologist, successfully performed the required surgery on February 26, 2024. Following two days of attentive post-operative care, Shanwar was discharged from the hospital, his vision on the path to restoration.
