Rani Suresh Kumar's Story

Rani Suresh Kumar hasn’t been able to look after her family and it really breaks her heart. Rani, a 43-year-old resident of Hyderabad, Sindh, has been praying for a donor like you to get back on her feet. She has been enduring knee joint pain for the last five years of her life. She had been given symptomatic treatment, but it never worked for her and her condition only worsened. So donate and help Rani walk again.

Upon consulting an Orthopedician and after going through a number of diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with Bilateral Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knees. Knee OA is the result of articular cartilage degeneration without any known reason. This is typically thought of as degeneration due to age as well as wear and tear. After the diagnosis, Rani was advised to undergo a Total Knee Replacement surgery for both of her knees. Total Knee Replacement surgery (TKR) is a complex procedure in which effective joint surfaces are replaced with artificial joints. Her husband shared his distress with us:

“I work as a housekeeping supervisor and just earn PKR 15,000 a month. In this meager income, I would never be able to afford the cost of my wife’s procedure. Transparent is my only hope, I am sure they will help cure my wife” – Rani’s Husband

Rani’s husband earns just enough to feed his family and cannot afford this costly procedure for his wife.

After a lot of distress and with the help of her doctor, Rani has registered her case with Transparent Hands. We are determined to put her on the path to good health as soon as we can. But, it won’t be possible without your help. Your support can get Rani back on her feet. We request you to please donate  generously and help Rani walk again. Donate now !

Rani Suresh Kumar's Story

Rani Suresh, a 43-year-old resident of Hyderabad, Sindh, had been suffering from pain in both knees for the last five years. She went to a local hospital for an initial check-up.  The doctor prescribed painkillers for relief but with time, the pain gradually increased. She visited the doctor again and after diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with bilateral osteoarthritis. The doctor advised her to undergo bilateral total knee replacement.

However, her husband was not in stable financial condition. After exhausting all options, they turned to Transparent Hands and we promptly registered her case and rallied the support of compassionate donors who recognized the significance of her condition and the life-altering impact that the surgery could have on her quality of life. Through the collective efforts of these generous souls, sufficient funds were raised to cover the expenses of her right knee replacement surgery.

With the funds secured, Rani Suresh was admitted to Murshid Hospital, Karachi, where her operation for right knee replacement was performed by Dr. Khadim on 30-5-2023. alleviating Rani's pain and offering her newfound hope for a brighter future.
