Four years old Abdul Wasay, a resident of Jalal Pur Peer Wala, has been suffering from short sightedness since birth. His vision is also gradually deteriorating. His parents took him to a public hospital where he was diagnosed with Cataract in both eyes. A developmental cataract occurs early in childhood. Cataract is a clouding of the clear lens that eventually interferes with vision Abdul was advised to have LMA, Vitrectomy and IOL for both eyes but one after one. In this surgery, lens matter will be removed from the anterior chamber of the eye and a new lens will be placed. Transparent Hands assisted Abdul’s surgery previously for his left eye. Now that his left eye has healed, he now came to us for help with his right eye’s procedure.
Abdul’s father is a daily wager and he merely earns PKR. 500 a day. In these difficult conditions, he cannot afford to get Abdul treated. A neighbor and friend of Abdul’s father told him about Transparent hands. Abdul’s father narrated his tale in the following words:
“Sometimes I come home empty handed as well. But this surgery is vital for my son’s well-being as his vision is now deteriorating. We had given up all hope that my son would ever be able to see again. But, Transparent Hands came like angels in our life and helped us without asking for anything. I want my child to live his tender age to the fullest, please help my son like you have before.”
In hopes of a brighter, prosperous future, Abdul Wasay awaits your donations to undergo the final step towards an improved life. Abdul Wasay awaits LMA of the right eye with an intraocular lens (IOL). Luckily, now that Abdul has been connected with Transparent hands, we will help bring colors in his life.
