Mehwish Bibi's Story

Before you read the facts of Mehwish’s illness, keep in mind that your contributions can help her and lessen the anguish she has been through. Therefore, we ask that you contribute as much as you can because we need your support to help restore Mehwish’s Vision.

Mehwish, aged six years, a resident of Muzaffar Garh, has been suffering from loss of sight and discomfort in her left eye since birth. Due to discomfort and pain her parents took her to a hospital for consultation. The doctor gave her symptomatic treatment for relief but it did not work well for her and her eyesight deteriorated completely. Upon consultation she was diagnosed with Left Eye Cataract. Unfortunately, her father works as a laborer and is the sole earner of the family without any other financial assistance. In conditions like these, it was already very difficult for him to manage their everyday expenses. Now his daughter needs this surgery. But he cannot afford it in these conditions.

The doctor advised Mehwish to undergo a Left eye Vitrectomy, Phaco with foldable IOL. But, due to less income and no other financial resources, they cannot afford the surgery. A neighbor told Mehwish’s father about Transparent hands. We have registered Mehwish’s case. Her parents shared their distress with Transparent Hands in the following manner:

“My daughter is very precious to me and she has her whole life ahead . She needs this surgery as she has completely lost sight from left eye. She is unacquainted from the beautiful sights of this world. Please help my daughter see.”
