After seeking medical consultation, she underwent x-rays and tests, which revealed a distressing diagnosis of left Grade IV osteoarthritis of the knee. The only hope to get rid of knee pain lies in total knee replacement surgery. However, Surya Bibi’s financial circumstances have rendered her unable to afford this life-changing procedure.

Surya Bibi, a housewife, lives with her five sons in their modest two-room house. Her sons work as daily wage laborers, collectively earning a meager sum of approximately PKR 33,000 per month. Despite their best efforts, their monthly income is barely enough to cover the necessities of the household. They had to pay for utility bills and groceries, along with daily expenses, which left no room for savings.
