Two years ago, little Anaya was playing with a friend when her mother noticed her breathlessness. At first, she did not pay any attention to it. Later, she noticed that Anaya’s lips and nails have turned blue. Her parents immediately took her to a hospital. The doctor referred her to a cardiologist. Consequently, the cardiologist ran ECHO test. Anaya was diagnosed with a Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). TOF is a cardiac anomaly. It refers to a combination of four related heart defects that commonly occur together.
The cardiologist has advised Anaya to undergo a TOF repair surgery. Anaya’s parents visited many hospitals. But unfortunately, the local hospitals kept rescheduling the date. Now, two years have passed in this process. Due to Anaya’s deteriorating situation, the surgery has become crucial for her. Without surgery, her life would stay compromised.
“Every day, I see my daughter gasping for breath. She tries to run after friends. She gets breathless in less than a minute. The doctors have told me that without surgery her life will be in danger. It seems all of us are dying with her. Please help my daughter stay alive.” -Anaya Khalid’s father.
Anaya’s father is a laborer. He hardly earns PKR 15000 per month. In this measly income, he is in no position to bear the financial stress of his daughter’s surgery. Therefore, we urge you to please donate and help us keep Anaya’s heart beating.

Anaya Khalid's Story
Five-year-old Anaya Khalid, a resident of Lahore, had been experiencing discoloration of the skin and nails, and shortness of breath after mild exertion for the last one and half years. Upon consultation, she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. The cardiologist advised Open-Heart Surgery for Total Correction. She was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, and Dr. Asim performed her surgery on 21-06-2022. She was discharged from the hospital after seven days of stay. This surgery was made possible with the support of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation. Your donations helped Anaya overcome her heart disease.
