Donate for Shafay’s ASD Closure
Shafay Khan's Story
Before we go into the heart-wrenching details of Shafay Khan’s ailments, please know that only your financial support can help us keep Shafay’s heart beating. Your little donation goes a long way.
Shafay Khan fell prey to a serious chest infection as soon as he was born. His mother blamed the cold weather and treated it with home remedies. The remedies provided temporary relief. However, Shafay Khan has been suffering from recurrent chest infections to date. Besides, he has been having difficulty breathing for the last three months. Upon consultation and ECHO tests, the cardiologist has diagnosed him with a life-threatening atrial septal defect. ASD is a hole in the wall between the two upper chambers of the heart.
Consequently, an atrial septal defect can cause blood to flow backwards into the right side of the heart and cause increased lung pressure. Over time, Shafay Khan’s condition can damage blood vessels in the lungs and results in congestive heart failure. To fix this congenital defect the cardiologist has advised an open heart surgery for ASD closure in which the hole will be closed. Donate to his open heart surgery and help us keep Shafay’s heart beating.
Shafay’s problems do not end here. His parents cannot afford the cost of Shafay’s treatment. Shafay’s father works at a tea stall in their village. Due to his limited resources, he is in no position to bear the cost of his son’s treatment.
“Someone told us about Transparent Hands and we came running to Lahore. Nowadays, I am pursuing anything that would help me keep my son alive. Please help us keep Shafay’s heart beating, and I will pray for you forever.” -Shafay Khan’s Father.
At last, his parents have registered his case with us. We are determined to get Shafay Khan happy and healthy as soon as possible but, it is only possible through your support. Please donate for Shafay Khan’s treatment and help us keep Shafay’s heart beating. Save a young boy’s life.
