Abdul Qadir's Story

Abdul Qadir, a 10-year-old resident of Gujaranwala, is living with his parents and two siblings. His father is the sole earner, with a monthly income of just PKR 45,000. Since birth, he has been suffering from shortness of breath, cyanosis (bluish skin discoloration), and fever. His parents learned about his condition when he was just one year old and sought medical attention, leading to the subsequent diagnosis and a referral to a cardiologist.

He has been diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and pulmonary atresia, which are complex congenital heart defects. The diagnosis of Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) refers to a combination of four heart defects, whereas pulmonary atresia is a condition where the pulmonary valve is completely blocked or absent, preventing proper blood flow from the heart to the lungs. Recently, his cardiologist has recommended a Rastelli procedure, a complex surgical intervention to correct the defects in his heart, preceded by angiography to assess the blood flow.

Abdul Qadir’s parents are desperately appealing for financial assistance to cover the costs of his much-needed treatment. Abdul Qadir’s father said in despair:

“We humbly appeal for your support to fund Abdul Qadir’s life-saving surgery. With your generosity, we can give our beloved son a chance at a healthier and brighter future.”

Your generous donations can make a life-changing difference for Abdul Qadir, providing him with the opportunity for a healthier future. Your generous donation can be the lifeline that saves his life. Abdul Qadir's Story

In the heart of Gujranwala, a resilient 10-year-old named Abdul Qadir confronted a formidable adversary right within his chest—a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). This congenital heart condition, marked by a hole in the heart's wall, posed challenges to Abdul's health and vitality, compelling his family to seek a path to healing. On the 27th of November 2023, Abdul Qadir's journey to recovery took a significant turn as he was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore. Under the expert care of Dr. Asim Khan, a distinguished surgeon known for his proficiency, Abdul underwent a comprehensive procedure on the 29th of November 2023. The surgical intervention included a Median-Sternotomy, VSD Closure, and RVOTO (Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction) resection.
