The implant procedure consists of two components: a surgically implanted device near the ear and an external component that is installed a few weeks later. However, the financial circumstances of Yashfa’s family present a significant obstacle to accessing this transformative surgery. Her father, the sole breadwinner, earns a modest income of PKR 20,000 per month, and there are no alternate means of generating additional funds for the surgery.

On the 5th of December 2023, a significant day filled with hope, Yashfa was admitted to the hospital. The stage was set for a life-altering surgical procedure that would change her world forever. Under the skilled hands of the esteemed Dr. Maqbool Ahmed, a highly respected surgeon, Yashfa underwent a groundbreaking right-sided cochlear implant surgery. This innovative procedure utilized a cochlear implant, specifically designed to restore hearing function in individuals with sensorineural hearing loss.

The surgery was a resounding success, and the symphony of sound began to resonate in Yashfa's world. After a brief period of recovery and attentive care, Yashfa was joyfully discharged from the hospital on the 7th of December 2023, with a satisfactory condition and newfound optimism for a future filled with the sweet melodies of life.

However, Yashfa's journey towards complete hearing restoration had only just begun. Four weeks after the initial surgery, an external component of the cochlear implant was installed, further enhancing her ability to perceive sound. To maximize the benefits of the implant, Yashfa embarked on a comprehensive speech therapy program, carefully tailored to her unique needs.
