Yasir Khan's Story

Not only has Yasir lost his ability to walk independently, but he also hasn’t been able to work since he lost his leg in a bomb blast. However, he can regain mobility with your help. We urge you to donate generously and help Yasir walk again.

Yasir Khan, a 36-year-old resident of Jamrood, has been enduring the pain of an unimaginable loss. Yasir injured his leg badly in a bomb blast 11 years ago. After he was rushed to the hospital, upon medical evaluation, the doctor discovered severe trauma to his right leg. His leg was completely crushed and it was not possible to save it. Therefore, the doctors had to amputate his leg above the knee level.

Yasir is a student and because of this disability, he is unable to support his family financially. His father passed away a while ago and Yasir has not been able to work since this tragedy struck him. Yasir lives in his uncle’s house with his wife and their three children. They depend on Yasir’s uncle for financial assistance. With a family of five to support and no regular income, their choice is between providing food for the family or getting Yasir a prosthetic leg. Someone told Yasir about Transparent Hands and he reached out to us. He shared his distress with us in the following words.

“My life changed in the blink of an eye. Once, I was a happy person, but this incident has changed me completely. It introduced me to the harsh realities of life. I want to complete my education and earn a living for my family. Please help me!”

Yasir awaits your donations to acquire a prosthetic leg in order to improve the quality of his life. Now that he has been connected with Transparent Hands, we are  determined to help Yasir. However, this will not be possible without your donations. Please contribute as much as you can to help Yasir walk again.
