Muhammad Huzaifa, a fifteen-year-old resident of Lahore, suffered a tragic event three years ago. He burnt his left arm due to an electric shock. He was rushed to the hospital. The doctors tried their best to save his arm but they could not. Unfortunately his left arm was amputated below the elbow level. 

Huzaifa’s life has taken a sad turn ever since. Due to lack of financial resources, his family has been struggling. Huzaifa’s parents contacted us and requested assistance to get him a prosthetic arm.  Huzaifa’s mother shared his sorrow with Transparent Hands in the following words:

“My son was such an active child. This mishap has changed him. He is not that kid anymore. He sits in the corner sadly and watches other kids play, and that breaks my heart into trillions of pieces.”

Huzaifa’s father works as a factory worker and barely manages to make both ends meet. They are a family of seven and live in a rented house. With this little income and a large family to feed, it is nearly impossible for Huzaifa’s father to afford this surgery. This prosthesis is crucial for Huzaifa’s physical and emotional well-being. He needs this prosthesis placement to start dong his regular chores and continue his studies.
