Muhammad Shehbaz's Story

Muhammad Shehbaz, a 37-year-old man from Multan, has been struggling with an eye condition for the past six months. What began as mild dimness in vision gradually worsened, making it increasingly difficult for him to perform his job and daily tasks. Moreover, walking around his home and climbing stairs have become challenging for him. Recently, he went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough evaluation, Shehbaz was diagnosed with a cataract in his left eye. The doctor has advised Phacoemulsification with Intraocular Lens surgery, a standard procedure that can help restore his vision.

Without this surgery, his eyesight will continue to worsen, leading to potential blindness in the affected eye. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond his means.

Shehbaz lives in a modest rented home with his wife and a young child. He earns PKR 35,000 per month as a driver. However, after paying utility bills of PKR 4,000 and educational expenses of PKR 8,000 for his child, very little is left for other essentials. His condition is now affecting his job performance, and he fears losing the only source of income his family depends on. Affording to pay for his treatment is out of his financial capacity.

Shehbaz expressed his heartfelt plea as follows:

“I work hard every day to provide for my family. However, this problem with my eye is affecting my ability to perform daily tasks. If I can’t see clearly, I can’t drive—and if I can’t drive, I can’t earn for my family. I need your support to see again.”

Let’s not allow financial hardships to stand in the way of Shehbaz’s treatment. With your generous donations, he can undergo the cataract surgery and return to work with restored vision and dignity.

Donate today and turn his dark world into a bright one.
