Let’s Give Iqra Bibi the Gift of Clear Eyesight

Iqra Bibi's Story
Iqra Bibi, a 24-year-old woman from Khanewal, is facing great difficulty in seeing clearly due to a past trauma in her right eye. At an age when she should be living life to the fullest, she struggles to move around her home safely and perform basic household chores. For a long time, she hasn’t been able to see the faces of her loved ones clearly. Recently, Iqra visited a local hospital where a doctor conducted detailed eye examinations. She was diagnosed with a traumatic cataract in her right eye, a condition caused by an injury that leads to clouding of the eye’s natural lens. Her doctor recommended Irrigation and Aspiration (I&A) with Intraocular Lens (IOL) implantation to restore her vision.
The cost of the surgery is something that Iqra’s family can’t afford. Without timely surgical intervention, Iqra’s condition may deteriorate further. The cataract may lead to complete and irreversible loss of vision in her right eye.
Iqra lives in a modest brick house with her parents and four siblings. Her father is a daily wage laborer, earning only PKR 20,000 per month. This limited income barely covers their essential needs, including PKR 1500 for utility bills, food, and other household expenses for seven family members. With no additional source of income or savings, the cost of the surgery is far beyond what they can afford. During this time of need, Iqra’s family has contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Iqra said with sadness:
“I want to live a normal life, and see my family’s faces clearly again. However, this condition has held me back in every way. My family is already doing their best, but we need your help to make this surgery possible.”
Your kind contributions can help Iqra regain her vision and reclaim her independence. Even a small donation can bring light back into her life.
Come forward and be the reason she sees the world clearly once again.
